Gear Pump

Functions

1. Delivery: Delivers low-pressure circulating lubricating oil providing a continuous oil supply to the compressor bearings.

Crossheads and stuffing box friction pairs and building an oil film to reduce wear.

Cooling: The flowing lubricating oil carries away frictional heat and cools the moving parts. It carries wear debris in the oil to the oil filter for removal, keeping the lubricating oil clean.

Form It is an external-mesh horizontal gear pump.

Commonly Used 1. Pump body and pump cover: Gray cast iron HT200; shock-absorbing and wear-resistant, for low-pressure lubricating oil service.

Driving gear and driven gear: 45# steel or alloy structural steel, surface-hardened to improve wear resistance.

Drive shaft: 45# steel.

Seals: Nitrile rubber.
