Description: The third-stage guide ring of a hydrogen compressor is a wear-prone part of the reciprocating compressor piston assembly. It is assembled in the third-stage piston ring groove and reciprocates with the piston in the third-stage cylinder, providing radial support and positioning for the piston; it is suitable for high-pressure hydrogen conditions.
It radially supports the piston and isolates it from the inner wall of the cylinder liner, preventing direct contact and dry friction and avoiding scoring of the cylinder surface.
It constrains the coaxiality of the piston reciprocating motion, reducing piston radial oscillation, improving the stress conditions of the third-stage piston ring, and reducing piston ring wear.
It does not perform the gas sealing function itself but only provides guidance and support, reducing unit vibration and impact noise and ensuring smooth piston operation.
Open sleeve-type ring, with an opening to compensate for thermal expansion during operation; filled PTFE modified engineering plastic is used for high-pressure hydrogen conditions, featuring self-lubricating, wear-resistant, and hydrogen embrittlement resistant properties; it is arranged in a single row or double row and installed in the piston guide ring groove.
