First-Stage Intake and Exhaust Valve Plate

Description: The first-stage intake and exhaust valve plate of a natural gas compressor is a key moving wear-prone part of the first-stage cylinder of a reciprocating compressor. It is assembled inside the first-stage valve and opens and closes under the pressure differential, controlling the intake and exhaust of natural gas.

Main Functions

It opens and closes automatically under the pressure differential between the inside and outside of the cylinder; the intake valve plate opens to draw in natural gas, and the exhaust valve plate opens to discharge the compressed gas.

It isolates the cylinder from the intake and exhaust passages and prevents gas backflow when the valve plate is closed, ensuring the compression efficiency and working pressure of the first-stage cylinder.

It controls the gas flow to ensure continuous intake-compression-exhaust operation of the compressor.

Structural Material

Thin sheet, annular or disc-shaped structure; high-toughness stainless steel and alloy steel are mostly used in natural gas conditions, featuring high strength, impact resistance, resistance to gas medium corrosion, and resistance to fatigue fracture; it forms a gas valve assembly together with the valve seat, lift limiter, and spring.
