Description: The third-stage piston ring of a natural gas compressor is a core wear-prone component of the reciprocating compressor piston assembly. It is assembled in the third-stage piston ring groove and reciprocates with the piston; it is used in natural gas compression to seal the third-stage cylinder.
It seals the gap between the third-stage cylinder piston and the cylinder liner, preventing the compressed high-pressure natural gas from leaking into the crankcase and ensuring the compression pressure and exhaust efficiency of the third-stage cylinder.
It distributes oil and scrapes off excess lubricating oil from the cylinder wall to maintain a proper oil film and reduce wear between the piston and the cylinder liner.
It withstands high pressure differentials, reduces gas leakage losses, and ensures that the compressor discharge pressure and gas volume meet the process specifications.
Divided into gas rings and oil rings, with an open annular structure; filled PTFE and engineering plastics are commonly used for high-pressure natural gas conditions, and some rings are fitted with bronze reinforcement rings; suitable for high-pressure natural gas media, wear resistant and self-lubricating, and able to withstand high-speed reciprocating motion; installed in the piston ring groove and used in combination with multiple rings.
