Second-Stage Gas Valve Gasket

Description: The second-stage gas valve gasket of the natural gas compressor is a static-sealing wear-prone part. It is installed between the second-stage cylinder gas valve and the valve seat, on the flange mating surface of the valve cavity; it is used in high-pressure natural gas compression conditions to isolate the compressed gas in the cylinder and prevent medium leakage.

Main Functions

It fills the gap between the mating surfaces of the gas valve assembly, seals the high-pressure natural gas in the second-stage cylinder, and prevents gas leakage and interstage gas crossover.

It buffers the clamping stress of gas valve assembly and compensates for machining deviations of the mating surfaces and thermal expansion and contraction during operation.

It isolates the high-pressure gas and protects the metal mating surfaces of the valve and valve seat from erosion damage by the high-pressure gas flow.

Structural Material

Sheet-shaped sealing gasket, shaped to match the flange of the second-stage gas valve; composite metal gaskets and flexible graphite gaskets are commonly used in high-pressure natural gas conditions, being resistant to high pressure, oil and gas, and high temperature; positioning holes are machined according to the valve structure, and the gasket is fitted at the joint between the gas valve and the cylinder valve cavity.
