Sand removal cyclone(Hydrocyclone)

Sand removal cyclone(Hydrocyclone)

Our sand removal cyclone is a new equipment that integrates and absorbs advanced technologies from abroad. It is mainly used in starch production to remove sand, metal particles and other impurities from starch slurry. It is also suitable for removing heavy-phase impurities in other fluids. This equipment has a simple structure and comes with two types of cyclone tubes - stainless steel and ceramic, as well as high-strength wear-resistant plastic. It is designed with advanced technology and easy to install, and has a high sand removal efficiency.

Wear-resistant lining (ceramic/rubber)

Wear-resistant lining (ceramic/rubber)

Inner protective lining fitted on flow‑path components including desanders, hydrocyclones, pipe elbows, pump casings and distributors. It mitigates erosion caused by sand, grit and fibrous particles carried within corn starch slurry. While not participating in separation physics, lining largely defines equipment service life, operational stability and maintenance expenditure.

Pressure Gauge (Diaphragm)

Pressure Gauge (Diaphragm)

Critical monitoring instrument for corn‑starch desanding units. Diaphragm barrier physically isolates starch slurry from gauge internal movement, delivering accurate pressure indication while blocking clogging and mechanical damage from starch solids, fine sand and fibers.

cyclone bottom nozzle

cyclone bottom nozzle

Core high‑wear spare part fitted at bottom of desanding hydrocyclones, acting as centralized discharge outlet for sand, grit and heavy impurities. It suffers the most severe abrasive erosion within hydrocyclone assembly and requires frequent change‑out. Its bore dimension and wear condition directly determine overall desanding efficiency and starch loss rate, key maintenance focus for corn‑starch desanding section.

Overflow pipe

Overflow pipe

Also named overflow outlet or central discharge pipe. Core top‑section wetted component for desanding hydrocyclones. Its lower end inserts into hydrocyclone inner cavity; upper end connects to overflow header piping as discharge channel for purified starch slurry. Its inner bore, insertion depth and inner‑wall abrasion resistance directly govern hydrocyclone separation precision and throughput, critical component securing starch‑slurry cleanliness for desanding section.

Feed Distributor

Feed Distributor

A critical flow‑splitting component for corn‑starch desanding systems. Installed upstream of hydrocyclone banks, it evenly divides starch‑slurry feed from pump discharge to multiple desanding hydrocyclones. It does not perform sand removal itself, but delivers stable feed flow, pressure and concentration to each hydrocyclone for balanced overall desanding performance.

Settling nozzle

Settling nozzle

Bottom discharge wear‑part for desanding hydrocyclones, also termed sand‑discharge nozzle or underflow outlet. Installed at hydrocyclone / desander bottom, it steadily expels separated sand grit, heavy‑density impurities and high‑solids underflow slurry. Despite compact geometry, it exerts direct control over desanding efficiency, underflow concentration and starch‑loss ratio.

Connecting hose

Connecting hose

Auxiliary flexible‑joint spare for desanding hydrocyclone banks. Deployed for compliant connections between feed distributor and hydrocyclone units and between hydrocyclones and overflow / underflow piping. Delivers vibration damping, thermal‑and‑assembly‑misalignment displacement compensation plus simplified disassembly‑assembly workflows. Essential auxiliary component for stable desanding‑equipment operation and reduced maintenance overhead.

Desanding‑Unit Support Frame

Desanding‑Unit Support Frame

Load‑bearing structural base for complete hydrocyclone desanding‑bank assemblies. General‑purpose foundation hardware for fixing hydrocyclone modules, feed distributors, overflow‑collection manifolds and underflow grit‑discharge piping. Guarantees installation perpendicularity and operational stability while reserving adequate service‑access clearance. Forms mechanical foundation for long‑term reliable desanding‑equipment performance.

Diaphragm‑Seal Pressure Transmitter

Diaphragm‑Seal Pressure Transmitter

Automated pressure‑monitoring instrument for desanding‑system workflows. Diaphragm‑isolated pressure transmitters are industry‑standard hardware within corn‑starch‑manufacturing plants. Converts hydrocyclone‑pipeline slurry‑pressure measurements into standard electrical‑signal output, remotely transmitting data to plant‑PLC / DCS automation systems. Enables real‑time pressure display, historical‑data logging, high‑low‑limit alarm triggering and automatic closed‑loop‑process‑control. Core instrument spare‑part supporting stable automated desanding‑section‑operation.
