Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor

Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor

Description: Three-phase asynchronous motors are general-purpose industrial power unit. They use three-phase AC to generate a rotating magnetic field that drives the rotor. With a simple, robust construction and reliable operation, they are widely used to drive air compressors, pumps, fans, and various kinds of mechanical equipment.

Main Functions

Converts three-phase electrical energy into mechanical energy and outputs torque to drive the load.

Robust construction and simple maintenance make it suitable for continuous, long-duty operation.

Structural Principle

It mainly consists of a stator, squirrel-cage rotor, frame, end cover, bearing, junction box, and fan blades with fan cover. When three-phase AC is applied to the stator, a rotating magnetic field is generated. The rotor conductors cut the field and induce current, producing torque that drives the shaft to rotate. The rotor speed is slightly below the stator field speed, hence the name asynchronous motor.
