Description: The air filter cartridge is the first line of protection for the air compressor. It filters dust, sand, and fibrous impurities from the intake air, protecting the main unit, oil separator, and lubricating oil, and preventing wear of internal components.
Intake filtration: intercepts dust and particulate matter from the atmosphere, cleaning the air entering the air end.
Main-unit protection: protects the main-unit rotor and bearings, reduces abrasive wear, and extends main-unit service life.
Load reduction: reduces the load on the oil filter and oil separator, and reduces wear on the oil filter and oil-separator element and slows lubricant degradation.
It consists of paper/composite-fiber media, inner and outer support screens, and rubber sealing rings. Air passes through the media; impurities are trapped on the outer surface of the element, and clean air is delivered to the compressor unit.
