Explosion-Proof Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor

Description: Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motors are dedicated power motors for flammable and explosive hazardous locations. They comply with the GB3836 explosion-protection standard and will not ignite external explosive atmospheres when electric arcs, sparks, or a incidental internal explosion occur. They are widely used in hazardous duties such as air compressors, chemical plants, and oil and gas facilities.

Main Functions

Power output: three-phase AC drives the rotor to rotate and outputs torque to drive the equipment; the operating principle is the same as that of a conventional asynchronous motor.

Explosion protection: when sparks are generated inside or an explosion occurs, the high-strength enclosure contains the explosion pressure and the flameproof joint surfaces quench the flame, preventing sparks and high temperatures from escaping and igniting the flammable gas or dust at the site.

Temperature control: limits the maximum surface temperature of the enclosure to prevent the hot surface from igniting the explosive atmosphere; the junction box adopts an explosion-proof sealed structure to eliminate the risk of ignition at the wiring.

Structural Composition

Frame, stator winding, squirrel-cage rotor, bearings, end covers, flameproof enclosure, explosion-proof junction box, cable glands, and cooling fan cover.

Key Points

The mating surfaces of the frame, end cover, and junction box are precision flameproof joint surfaces; the cable entry is fitted with dedicated flameproof sealing rings, and ordinary sealing rings must not be used as substitutes.
