Vertical Needle Impact Mill Spare Part - Spindle

Description: The spindle is the core rotating component of the vertical needle-type impact mill, responsible for transmitting power, supporting the rotor, and operating stably under high speed, heavy load, and impact conditions.

1. Core Function

As the core transmission hub, it receives torque input from the motor via a pulley/coupling and efficiently transmits it to the lower rotor (rotating disc), driving the rotor needle to rotate at high speed.

2. Structural Forms

Solid Stepped Shaft

1. Shaft Structure

Upper transmission section: with taper/cylindrical surface, to install pulley/coupling, transmitting torque using a flat key/spline.

Bearing locating section: 2–3 shaft journals, using shoulders/sleeves/nuts to achieve precise bearing positioning.

Sealing section: install skeleton oil seal/mechanical seal to prevent dust and slurry from entering the bearing.

Rotor mounting section: lower shaft journal (usually tapered) key/locking nut, to secure the rotor and transmit high torque.

2. Support and Lubrication

Usually upper end: cylindrical roller bearing (bearing radial load).

Lower end: paired thrust ball/conical roller bearings (bearing radial load and bidirectional axial load).

Use forced circulation lubrication/oil-air lubrication, suitable for high speed (3000–4000 rpm).

3. Installation Features

Vertical installation, rotor suspended at the lower end.

Bearing housing has some flexibility, reducing vibration and lowering alignment requirements.

3. Common Materials

40Cr alloy structural steel or 35CrMo / 42CrMo medium carbon chromium-molybdenum steel
