Filter Belt

Description: Filter belt (filter cloth belt / belt filter media) is core filtration element for corn gluten belt filter press dehydrators. It represents the highest consumption frequently replaced spare part among dehydration equipment components. It is an endless woven filter media tensioned across the complete roller set of filter press. Upper and lower filter belts sandwich gluten slurry between them and travel synchronously. Through sequential stages: gravity dewatering, wedge zone pre compression, low pressure dewatering and high pressure dewatering; water contained within gluten is gradually squeezed out passing through filter belt media, forming final dry gluten filter cake.

Main Structure

Filter belt body: Endless woven filter media constructed from PET / PP monofilament with uniform woven mesh geometry.

Belt joints: Spiral buckles, hot melt welds or metal clamp fasteners guarantee flat, secure belt splice connections.

Edge reinforcing strips: Reinforced thickened borders or wear resistant edging at both belt edges to mitigate offset tracking and edge abrasion.

Guide holes / positioning edges: Selected variants incorporate edge positioning features for anti deviation during equipment operation.

Composite filter layer construction: Surface filtration layer plus backing support layer; balancing filtration precision and mechanical strength.

Working Principle

Performs gluten dewatering combining gravity separation and mechanical extrusion:

1. Gravity dewatering: Gluten slurry is evenly distributed upon lower filter belt; free water flows downward through belt media achieving preliminary material concentration.

2. Wedge zone pre compression: Upper and lower filter belts converge, enclosing material in between. Material enters wedge shaped compression zone and receives mild pre compression for further dewatering.

3. Low pressure dewatering: Filter belt conveys material through roller groups with progressively reduced diameters; squeezing pressure rises continuously and water keeps filtering out.

4. High pressure shear dewatering: Filter belt winds around alternating large and small diameter rollers. Material sustains combined extrusion and shear force accomplishing deep level dewatering.

5. Discharge & media regeneration: Post dewatering filter cake is scraped off belt for discharge. Filter belt continues circulating and receives high pressure water rinsing before entering next filtration cycle.

Main Features

Reliable filtration precision: Uniform woven mesh permits water passage while retaining gluten solid particles.

High water permeability: Elevated belt porosity delivers good dewatering efficiency and large process throughput.

High tensile strength: Polymeric media withstands high pressure extrusion and belt tension loads.

Acid alkali corrosion resistance: Tolerant against gluten slurry and washing water chemistry; stable chemical properties.

Easy cleaning & regenerable: Smooth monofilament weave minimises material adhesion; regenerated effectively by high pressure water rinsing.

Robust belt joint performance: Flat splice interfaces, enabling smooth equipment running without offset tracking or splice failure.

Fully customisable specifications: Belt width, mesh aperture and base material configurable for target equipment models and process demands.
