Gear Reducer

Description: Gear Reducer (geared motor / gear box) is core power transmission component for corn gluten concentration dehydration equipment (screw press dehydrator, vacuum drum filter etc.), key power system spare part. Installed between electric motor and working assembly (auger / rotary drum). Function: reduce motor high rotational speed (approx. 1450 rpm) down to process required low speed (10 30 rpm), meanwhile amplifying output torque to drive dehydrator internal rotating assemblies against material loading resistance.

Main Structure

Housing: Cast iron or aluminium alloy enclosure housing gear transmission sets; oil bath lubrication design.

Gear transmission stages: Hardened cylindrical gears / planetary gears; multi stage reduction for torque transmission.

Input shaft: Flange couples with motor, receives high speed rotary power input.

Output shaft: Connects to driven working unit (auger shaft / rotary drum); delivers low speed high torque power.

Bearing assemblies: Supports each transmission shaft; withstands combined radial and axial loads.

Seals: Shaft end oil seals preventing lubricant oil leakage.

Auxiliary accessories: Oil level sight glass, oil filler cap, drain plug, breather vent cap, lifting eye bolt.

Working Principle

Realises speed reduction and torque amplification via gear meshing transmission:

1. High speed power input: Motor rotates at 1450 r/min; power transfers through input shaft into reducer housing.

2. Multi stage reduction: Power passes sequential gear stages of differing tooth diameters; rotational speed drops progressively while output torque rises.

3. Low speed power output: Reduced speed high torque power exits output shaft to drive auger or drum assembly rotating at 10 30 r/min.

4. Lubrication & heat dissipation: Splashing lubricant oil inside housing wets gears and bearings, carrying away frictional heat.

5. Over load protection: Gears and bearings are dimensioned for rated torque to protect motor and process equipment under overload events.

Main Features

High transmission efficiency: Hardened gear transmission efficiency reaches above 95% for low energy consumption.

High output torque: Large reduction ratio yields ample torque to overcome dehydrator extrusion resistance.

Smooth running behaviour: Gentle gear meshing action with low noise and minimal vibration.

Long service life performance: Surface quenched hardened gear teeth deliver excellent wear resistance.

Reliable sealing construction: Double lip oil seal plus labyrinth barrier inhibits lubricant leakage and dust ingress.

Convenient installation: Direct flange mounting toward motor and driven machinery.

Simple maintenance requirements: Periodic lubricant oil replacement required; minimal daily service workload.
