Description: Spiral blades (press blades / spiral segments) represent the most critical wear prone spare parts of corn gluten screw press dehydrators. These arc shaped plate components are welded onto dehydrator central shaft; directly contacting gluten material to realise conveyance and extrusion compression. As sub assembly elements of the auger, they suffer the most severe abrasive wear and require frequent replacement. After long term material extrusion and frictional scouring, blade outer edges and working surfaces gradually thin and deform, causing degraded dehydration efficiency and necessitating periodic replacement or hard facing weld repair.
Blade body: Arc shaped spiral stamped steel plate, profile unfolded along helical trajectory.
Inner weld bevel: Inner circular edge with weld prep bevel for welding fixing onto central shaft.
Outer working edge: Outer circumference mating against screen cylinder inner wall; primary surface undertaking material extrusion work.
Variable cross section profile: Blade width and thickness vary progressively along helical direction according to process design requirements.
Optional wear resistant overlay: Blade working surfaces may receive wear resistant alloy cladding or tungsten carbide spray coating.
Segmented assembly: Long span spiral shafts adopt multi segment blade units, welded sequentially during assembly.
Spiral blades rotate inside screen cylinder; cooperating with cylinder inner wall to perform material conveyance and compression:
1. Material propulsion: Under rotation, blade helix pushes material from feed end toward discharge end along inclined helical surface.
2. Extrusion dewatering: Auger pitch gradually decreases; inter blade volume shrinks and material becomes compressed, squeezing water out through screen cylinder slot openings.
3. Material scraping self cleaning: Blade outer edge closely traces screen cylinder inner wall, simultaneously scraping accumulated material deposits to mitigate screen slot clogging.
4. Continuous processing: Persistent blade rotation enables uninterrupted feeding, extrusion dewatering and material discharge.
Wear resistant durable build: Stainless steel / wear resistant alloy construction delivers good anti abrasion and anti corrosion performance.
High forming precision: Single piece stamping production yields smooth helical surfaces for fluent material transport.
Variable pitch custom design: Differentiated pitch and blade width matching feed section, dewatering section and discharge section functional requirements.
Individual blade replaceability: When single segment blade fails, worn unit can be cut off and new blade welded on; full auger replacement unnecessary, lowering maintenance expense.
Food grade compliance: 304 / 316L stainless steel material satisfies food hygiene specifications.
Smooth working surfaces: Polished blade faces minimise gluten material adhesion.
