Narrow V Belt

Description: High performance wedge shaped transmission belt. Power is transmitted by friction between belt side wedges and pulley grooves. Widely deployed for motor reducer power transmission on vibrating screens, fans, pumps, centrifuges, crushers and starch production line equipment. Delivers higher transmission capacity and more compact layout versus conventional V belts.

Basic Construction

Endless trapezoidal rubber belt with standard 40° wedge angle. Layers from top to bottom: fabric cover layer, tension rubber layer, high strength polyester cord load carrying layer, compression rubber layer. Belt top surface adopts arched profile; tensile cords are positioned relatively high for uniform stress distribution and low permanent elongation. With a section height to top width ratio of 0.9, it features narrow deep cross section delivering strong wedging effect and high friction coefficient.

Main Product Series

Metric (SP Series, Industry Standard for Domestic Installations)

SPZ: top width 10 mm, height 8 mm (small power high speed duty)

SPA: top width 13 mm, height 10 mm (small to medium power duty)

SPB: top width 17 mm, height 14 mm (common for vibrating screens and fans)

SPC: top width 22 mm, height 18 mm (heavy duty high power duty)

Imperial (3V / 5V / 8V or 9N / 15N / 25N)

3V (9N), 5V (15N), 8V (25N); mainly as replacement spare parts for imported equipment.

Also available: cogged narrow V belts (cut edge internal teeth). Internal tooth profile improves bending performance and heat dissipation for small diameter pulley applications.

Key Advantages (Compared with ordinary A/B/C type V belts)

1. Higher power transmission capability: Identical belt width delivers 50 100 % higher load capacity than conventional V belts; fewer belts required for equal power rating and saves installation space.

2. High transmission efficiency: Efficiency reaches 95 97 %, maximum permissible linear speed up to 40 50 m/s.

3. Low permanent elongation and extended service life: Polyester cord core minimises operational slippage.

4. Compact layout: Reduced pulley width and transmission centre distance, saving equipment footprint.

5. Damping buffer performance: Overload induced slippage protects motor and process equipment against impact loads.
