Description: Material conveying equipment utilising rotating screw blades for axial bulk material transportation inside housing, based on Archimedes screw principle. Belongs to non traction type conveying machinery.
1. Drive assembly: Motor + gear reducer, provides rotational driving power.
2. Screw assembly: Screw shaft plus screw blades (core conveying component); available in shaft equipped and shaft less configurations.
3. Housing: U shaped trough or fully enclosed round tube; material options: carbon steel, 304 / 316 stainless steel.
4. Material ports: feed inlet and discharge outlet.
5. Support assemblies: Bearings at both ends; hanger type bearings added for long distance conveying runs.
Motor drives screw shaft and screw blades to rotate. Material falls into housing cavity. Under gravity and housing wall friction, bulk material will not co rotate with screw. Material is propelled forward continuously toward discharge outlet just like a nut being driven along a screw thread.
1. U Trough Screw Conveyor: Top cover can be opened for maintenance; mostly applied for horizontal conveying of powder and granular materials (starch, feedstuff, fly ash).
2. Tubular Screw Conveyor: Fully enclosed construction for dust tight leak proof performance; suitable for inclined feeding.
3. Shaft Less Screw Conveyor: Central drive shaft removed. Ideal for sludge, fibrous and sticky easily tangled feed, minimising clogging & entanglement risk.
4. Metering Screw Feeder: Equipped with variable frequency speed regulation for precise feed rate control for batching workflows.
