Description: Core classification component for modified-starch ultrafine mills. Mounted at grinding-chamber discharge outlet. It generates centrifugal force via high-speed rotation to sort pulverized starch particles, separating coarse from fine fractions and controlling finished-product fineness. A critical part that defines final product particle-size.
Normally manufactured from 304 stainless-steel. Assembly consists of hub, multiple radial blades and locking flange. Impeller-style construction fastened onto classifier main shaft by locking bolts, driven to high-speed rotation either by dedicated independent motor or main-unit shaft. Blade clearance and rotational speed directly determine classification performance.
Pulverized-starch particles are carried by airflow into the classifier-wheel zone. High-speed rotation of classifier-wheel generates strong centrifugal force:• Coarse particles: Subjected to high centrifugal force, they are thrown back into the grinding chamber for further re-grinding.• Qualified fine particles: Airflow drag force overcomes centrifugal force; fine material passes through gaps between classifier-wheel blades and is conveyed by airflow to subsequent collection steps.
Adjusting the rotational speed of the classifier-wheel alters the finished-product particle-size: higher speed delivers finer powder; lower speed produces coarser powder.
