V-Belt Set

Description: Transmission consumable for ultrafine mills. Installed between motor pulley and ultrafine-mill main-unit pulley. It transmits torque via friction and drives high-speed rotation of the grinding disc to complete ultrafine pulverization of modified-starch feedstock.

Structure & Materials

Industrial units mostly adopt V-belts; high-power models use banded V-belts. Construction features rubber matrix embedded with high-strength fiber-cord layers, delivering wear-resistance, tensile-strength and good fatigue-resistance. Belts are used in matched complete sets.

Working Principle

Motor pulley drives the main-unit driven pulley by belt friction and transfers motor torque to the grinding spindle for high-speed rotation of grinding assemblies, achieving material impact, grinding and comminution. Belt elasticity absorbs start-up shock, isolates partial vibration and provides overload buffering protection. Under material-jamming or overload conditions, belt slip prevents rigid shock-damage to the motor and main-unit bearings.

Operating Conditions & Application Notes (Modified-Starch Ultrafine Mill)

1. Equipment runs at high rotational speed under heavy impact loads for long-term continuous duty.

2. Starch dust easily falls into pulley grooves, causing belt slippage and accelerated wear.

3. Elevated temperatures inside the grinding workshop accelerate rubber-belt ageing and cracking.

4. For multi-belt transmission arrangements: the whole set must be replaced if one single belt fails. Mixed installation of old and new belts is prohibited.
