Description: Roll form consumable material for automatic modified starch packaging machines. Inner layer melts under heat seal press assembly pressure to form bag seals. Primarily applied for sealed packaging of dried modified starch powder to resist moisture ingress and dust escape. Two major categories: single layer heat sealing film and multi layer composite heat sealing film. Food grade grades must comply with food contact safety standards.
Heat seal knives apply temperature and pressure to film heat seal layers. Heat seal material melts; molecular fusion takes place between two contacting film surfaces. Upon cooling setting, robust sealed joints are formed, enabling continuous bag forming, filling and sealing cycles. Outer substrate delivers printability, tensile strength and puncture resistance; inner heat seal functional layer resists sticking to hot sealing knives.
Main Structure & Common Materials
1. Heat seal inner layer (product contact layer): CPP cast polypropylene, PE polyethylene, metallocene PE. Directly contacts modified starch powder for thermal bonding; food grade non toxic and odour free.
2. Optional intermediate barrier layer: Aluminized film, PA nylon. Improves moisture proof & oxygen barrier performance and inhibits modified starch caking caused by moisture absorption.
3. Outer substrate layer: PET, BOPP. For trademark logo printing; enhances film stiffness, tensile strength and abrasion resistance.
Common composite constructions for modified starch powder packaging: PET/PE, PET/CPP, PET / metallized aluminum / PE. Supplied in roll format for automatic packaging machines.
1. Excellent moisture barrier property: Modified starch is highly hygroscopic; film shall feature low water vapor transmission rate to avoid material caking in storage.
2. Compatibility with high speed packaging: Wide heat seal operating window, sealing temperature 110 150 ℃. Suitable for continuous high speed bag forming; no incomplete sealing, leakage or burn through defects.
3. Dust tolerant heat sealing performance: Resists poor seal failures induced by powder entrapment at sealing interfaces.
4. Mechanical performance: Puncture resistance and drop resistance. High specific gravity starch powder packages resist bag rupture during handling.
5. Food safety compliance: Food grade modified starch grade heat sealing films satisfy food contact material standards with zero harmful substance migration.
