Description: Common detection sensor for modified starch packaging equipment. Uses light signal emission & reception to detect presence and position of packaging bags, sends switching signals to PLC and controls bag clamping, feeding, sewing and conveying mechanism actions for packaging line automatic interlock.
Includes light emitting unit and receiving unit. Emitter outputs infrared light; light gets blocked or reflected when encountering packaging bag objects. Receiver identifies light intensity variation and converts it into switching signal for control system object detection. Packaging lines mainly deploy diffuse reflection and through beam photoelectric sensors.
1. Diffuse reflection photoelectric sensor: Emitting & receiving units integrated in one housing; object reflection triggers signal. Mostly used to detect bag presence / bag mouth status; controls bag clamp cylinders and inhibits feeding when no bag is detected to prevent powder blow out.
2. Through beam photoelectric sensor: Separate transmitter and receiver; signal triggers once light beam is obstructed. Installed at bag sewing machine inlet to detect bag passage and trigger pneumatic thread cutting; also deployed on conveyors for bag in place detection.
