Description: Core metering element for modified starch quantitative packaging scales. Resistance strain gauge shear beam / cantilever beam load cell, normally 3 point mounted underneath the weighing hopper. Converts material weight into electrical signals sent to the weighing instrument for quantitative weighing control of modified starch powder.
The elastomer generates tiny elastic deformation under the combined load from weighing hopper and modified starch powder. Resistance values of strain gauges bonded to the elastomer change accordingly. A Wheatstone bridge circuit outputs millivolt level electrical signals proportional to weight. After signal amplification, filtering and analog to digital conversion, data is transmitted to the controller. The system switches between fast feed and slow feed modes according to weight feedback and stops feeding once target set weight is achieved to complete quantitative batching.
Modified starch is fine powder; workshops are dusty with slight moisture absorption risk, and equipment suffers vibration & impact. Selection requirements:
1. Accuracy class: C3. Measuring range selected at 1.5 2 times total hopper weight to provide overload impact safety margin.
2. Protection rating: IP67 or higher. Sealed construction prevents ingress of starch dust and moisture which would damage strain gauges.
3. Resists eccentric loading and lateral forces; shear beam / cantilever beam configurations are preferred for powder drop impact and hopper sway. Digital output load cell options deliver enhanced anti EMI performance for dusty workshop environments.
1. Real time weight acquisition of modified starch powder inside weighing hopper and signal feedback to control system.
2. Works with fast / slow feed logic to guarantee per bag packaging weight accuracy and minimize out of tolerance rates.
3. Provides zero reset for empty hopper and weight verification signals to support equipment calibration.
