Description: The V-belt, also known as a triangular belt, is an important component of belt-driven fans.
1. Power transmission: Connects the motor pulley to the fan pulley and transmits motor torque to the fan impeller, driving the fan; this is a flexible transmission.
2. Buffering and vibration damping: The elasticity of the belt itself absorbs starting shock and vibration, reducing damage to the motor and bearings from fan vibration.
3. Overload protection: When the load momentarily overloads, the belt slips, preventing direct damage to the motor, fan shaft, and impeller from jamming, and providing a safety protection function.
4. Speed regulation: Changing the diameter of the pulleys flexibly alters the fan speed to regulate air volume and pressure — simpler and more economical than direct-drive speed regulation.
5. Installation compensation: Tolerates slight coaxial or center-distance deviation between the motor and the fan, reducing the alignment precision required during installation.
The V-belt has a trapezoidal (V-shaped) cross section and transmits power by friction between its two inclined faces and the V-groove of the pulley.
1. Base rubber: Chloroprene rubber (CR), Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber
2. High-strength core wire: polyester fiber, aramid fiber
3. Outer fabric: Abrasion-resistant cotton/polyester blended fabric
