Wedge Wire Screen (Stainless Steel)

Description: Also known as wedge wire screen, trapezoidal wire screen or Johnson screen, it is a rigid slotted screening element manufactured by resistance welding. Different from ordinary woven wire mesh, it is the mainstream industrial filter medium in the field of solid-liquid and solid-gas separation.

I. Basic Structure

It is manufactured by fully automatic resistance welding, with wedge-shaped (V-shaped/trapezoidal) profile wires intersecting the longitudinal support rods at right angles.

Cross-section of the profile wire: narrow on the outer surface and wide on the inner side; the slot is narrow on the outside and wide on the inside (inverted trapezoidal slot), and gradually widens from the outside to the inside, which is the core anti-clogging design;

Slot accuracy: Standard range 0.05-5 mm, with a slot tolerance of up to ±0.05 mm;

Product forms: Flat screen panels, cylindrical filter tubes, curved screen panels, filter baskets, water caps, water distributors and many other forms.

II. Commonly Used Materials

For general corrosion protection: 304, 304L, 316, 316L stainless steel (most commonly used)

For highly corrosive service: Duplex stainless steel 2205/2507, titanium, Hastelloy and other special alloys
