Feed Hopper Liner

Description: The feed hopper liner is installed on the inner wall of the feed hopper of the corn screening and impurity removal equipment. It is a wear-prone protective accessory that directly withstands the impact and friction of raw corn, broken cobs and dust, protecting the steel structure of the feed hopper itself and improving the material flow state, so as to ensure continuous and stable operation of the screening and impurity removal process. It is suitable for the corn pretreatment section at the front end of modified starch production.

Main Materials (Corn / Modified Starch Production Line)

1. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, food grade): The mainstream choice for production lines. It has a low coefficient of friction, is self-lubricating and non-sticky, impact-resistant and wear-resistant, and does not easily hold wet corn or starch dust, thus preventing material arching and blockage. No harmful substances are released, meeting food hygiene requirements. The commonly used thickness is 8-12mm.

2. 304 stainless steel liner: Used in high-cleanliness sections; corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, but its wear resistance is weaker than that of high molecular weight polyethylene plates.

3. Polyurethane liner: Impact-resistant and noise-reducing, suitable for feeding conditions with a small drop height.

Main Functions

1. Wear-resistant and protective: Withstands the impact and scouring of falling corn materials, preventing wear of the hopper steel plate and extending the service life of the feed hopper shell.

2. Anti-sticking and anti-clogging: The smooth, low-friction surface reduces the adhesion of wet corn and starch fines to the wall, lowering the probability of bridging and blockage, ensuring that materials enter the screen surface evenly and stably, and improving screening and impurity removal efficiency.

3. Buffering and noise reduction: Buffers the impact of falling materials, reducing equipment operating noise and the corn kernel breakage rate.

4. Replaceable design: The liner is a sacrificial wear part and can be replaced individually when damaged, without replacing the entire feed hopper, thus reducing maintenance costs.
