1. Support and positioning: Supports the main shaft of the fan and the impeller rotor limits the radial and axial position of the main shaft.

Ensures the clearance between the impeller and the casing and stop the rotor from eccentrically rubbing against the casing.

Load carrying: Bearing the rotor's own weight centrifugal force radial force and axial thrust generated by the fan operation.

And transferring the load to the fan base. Low-friction rotation: accommodates rolling/sliding bearings, the frictional resistance of the main shaft rotation.

Sealing guard: stop leakage of internal grease/oil from the bearing and blocks dust moisture smoke and particulate matter from entering the bearing.

Thus reduce premature bearing damage. Heat dissipation and lubricant accommodation: Provides a grease/oil reservoir to carry away the frictional heat from bearing operation and maintain the bearing's operating temperature.

Form

1. Split (two-piece) bearing housing assemblyThe housing is divided into a base and a top cover along the horizontal split plane.

Maintenance does not require removing the main shaft; the bearing can be replaced simply by opening the cover.

Commonly Used 1. Bearing housing. HT250 gray cast iron (most commonly used) Most are general-purpose centrifugal fans such as 4–72 and 9–19. They have good vibration damping performance.

High pressures and high vibrations have higher strength and toughness than gray cast iron and are more impact-resistant.

3. Seals Labyrinth seal (cast iron): For medium and large-sized light-oil lubricated fans.

Non-contact type resistant to high temperature and dust it is the preferred main seal for centrifugal fans.
