Description: Primary housing base of the vacuum pump. Encloses rotor, vanes and other moving internals; forms a sealed vacuum working chamber when assembled together with the vacuum-pump end cover.
Accommodates rotor, rotary vanes and other internals to create a sealed displacement chamber for gas suction and compression. Equipped with gas inlet and outlet ports; some castings integrate internal cooling passages to dissipate compression heat. Resists internal differential pressure load; mounts pump end covers, bearings and sealing assemblies and maintains component positional accuracy.
Gray cast iron for standard operating conditions; stainless steel for corrosive-media service. Precision-machined internal flow passages; sealing grooves machined on end faces; externally arranged bolt bosses and cooling-fluid connections.
