Centrifugal Pump Back Bearing - Sorbitol

Description: Pump-rotor support wear part installed in the pump rear-end bearing housing. Supports the non-impeller end of the pump shaft; primarily bears radial loads and residual axial thrust for certain configurations.

Main Functions

Supports the rear end of the pump shaft and cooperates with the front bearing for full rotor positioning. Preserves coaxial clearance for impeller and sealing assemblies to avoid rotor wobbling. Lowers shaft rotational friction for stable pump operation and reduced overall vibration and noise. Balances residual impeller-originated axial thrust, shares thrust loading and protects mechanical seal, impeller and front-bearing components.

Structural Form & General Materials

Deep-groove ball bearings and angular-contact ball bearings are widely used. Chrome steel for rings and rolling elements; steel-plate or nylon cages. Stainless-steel bearings for special high-temperature corrosive environments; grease- or oil-lubricated.
