Centrifugal Pump Stacked Flexible Coupling - Sorbitol

Description: Key flexible shaft-drive component connecting motor output shaft and centrifugal-pump input shaft. Transmits torque by elastic deflection of multi-layer thin metal diaphragms; lubrication-free design.

Working Principle

Motor torque is transmitted via bolts and diaphragm packs toward the pump shaft. Elastic deformation of the metal diaphragms compensates for axial, angular and minor radial misalignment, and absorbs thermal-expansion displacement. It prevents additional bending moment induced by shaft misalignment from being directly imposed on pump and motor bearings.

Main Functions

1. Transmits rotary torque to drive centrifugal-pump operation.

2. Compensates for installation misalignment and thermally caused shaft displacement; protects pump and motor bearings.

3. Provides partial vibration isolation and suppresses vibration transfer from pump side to motor side.

4. Diaphragm rupture under overload provides overload protection for the pump casing and motor.

Structural Form & General Materials

Multi-layer stainless-steel diaphragm packs, bolt-connected hub assemblies.
