Description: Rotary-shaft dynamic-seal wear part. Fitted at the agitator input-shaft end to provide dynamic sealing between shaft and housing. Prevents lubricant leakage and blocks ingress of process material and moisture into the bearing housing.
Seals clearance on the rotating input shaft to stop lubricant leakage from the bearing housing. Blocks process material, dust and moisture from entering bearing cavities and protects bearings against contamination. Maintains correct oil level inside bearing housings for proper bearing lubrication and reduced wear.
Composed of metal insert, rubber sealing lip and garter spring. Fluoroelastomer (FKM) is widely selected for food-chemical media-resistant and high-temperature conditions; nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) for general-purpose service. The sealing lip contacts the shaft surface to achieve dynamic sealing.
