Steam header / Steam sub-cylinder / Steam-water collector

Description: Steam header auxiliary equipment for boilers (also known as a steam sub-cylinder). Its primary function is to distribute steam generated by the boiler to multiple branch pipelines.

Main Functions

1. Steam distribution: Evenly distributes boiler-generated steam to various steam-consuming equipment and branch pipelines, functioning similarly to an electrical distribution panel.

2. Steam-water separation: Steam velocity drops upon entering the steam header, promoting separation of entrained water droplets and improving steam quality.

3. Centralized management: All steam supply lines from boiler room to heat consumers can branch off from the steam header, simplifying process control and maintenance access.

Product Characteristics

1. Pressure-bearing vessel: Normal working pressure range: 0.6–2.5 MPa; high-pressure variants can reach 16 MPa. Operating temperature: 0–400 °C.

2. Structural components: Main pressure-bearing parts include shell cylinder, dished heads, steam-distribution nozzle seat, main-steam nozzle seat, safety-valve seat, steam-trap seat, pressure-gauge seat and temperature-gauge seat.

3. Material & dimension specifications: Common steel grades: Q235B, 20g, 16MnR. Outer-diameter range OD159–OD1500. The cylinder outer diameter is generally 2–2.5 times the connecting-pipe outer diameter.

4. Manufacturing Process: Automatic welding is adopted for circumferential seams. Every unit is manufactured, inspected and accepted in accordance with national standards. Each unit undergoes supervisory inspection by local authorized pressure-vessel inspection authority prior to factory delivery.
