Description: WP-UM-series ultrasonic level gauge with false-echo-learning function for complex working-condition level measurement.
The WP-UM-series ultrasonic level gauge works as follows: The transducer (probe) emits ultrasonic pulses; pulses are reflected by the measured medium surface, echoes are received by the same transducer and converted into electrical signals. The transducer has a built-in temperature sensor for temperature compensation of measured values. Ultrasonic pulses propagate at the speed of sound; the time interval between emission and reception is proportional to distance S from transducer to medium surface.
Formula: S = C × T ÷ 2,Where S = measured distance, C = speed of sound, T = round-trip propagation-time.
The false-echo-learning function allows the instrument to correctly identify real echoes and obtain accurate measurement results even under multi-false-echo conditions. Equipped with advanced microprocessor and unique EchoDiscovery echo-processing technology, the ultrasonic level gauge can be applied to various complex working-conditions.
