Description: Immersion heating component for spray washer water tanks to heat circulating wash water, paired with temperature probes for closed loop thermostatic control.
Heats circulating wash water inside spray washing machine tanks up to process defined set point temperatures for pre wash and main wash hot water cycles, delivering sufficient thermal energy for oil and protein residue removal. Works cooperatively with temperature probes to maintain thermostatic water temperature.
Outer sheath: Food grade 304 / 316L stainless steel (316L for chloride containing wash media). Internal construction: Magnesium oxide insulating layer and nickel chromium resistance heating wire. Flange mount or threaded immersion configuration; sealing gaskets of EPDM / food grade silicone rubber.
1. Flange Mounted Heating Element: High power tank heating solution, mainstream for food spray washers.
2. Threaded Immersion Style Heating Element: Low power auxiliary heating. Service condition variants: Standard hot water grade; chemical resistant grade for aggressive detergents.
1. Surface Scaling: Hard water operation builds mineral scale and protein deposits over sheath outer surfaces, impairing thermal conduction and creating extreme sheath over heating leading to burnout (primary failure mode).
2. Sheath Corrosion & Perforation: Hot acid alkali or chloride rich media induce pitting corrosion on stainless steel sheaths. Media ingress causes electrical leakage and short circuit faults.
3. Dry Out Burn Out: Heating element exposed above water level under low liquid level conditions with failed low level interlock protection; instant over temperature burns out heating coils.
4. Seal Aging Water Leakage: Prolonged high temperature service ages flange gaskets producing water seepage.
1. Per Shift Inspection: Monitor heating performance; check for water leakage or abnormal noise; validate proper low level interlock protection function.
2. Periodic Descaling: At shutdown soak elements with food grade citric acid solution to dissolve mineral scale. Thicker scale significantly elevates burnout risk.
3. Seal Inspection: Check flange gaskets for aging and seepage.
4. Operating Restriction: Never activate heating power under insufficient liquid level conditions.
5. Replacement Criteria: Replace complete heating element for sheath perforation, heavy non removable scale, insulation degradation / electric leakage or internal coil burnout.
Electric heating elements raise wash tank water temperature under thermostatic control coordinated with temperature probes. Primary failure drivers are scale accumulation, dry out events and chemical corrosion. Periodic chemical descaling plus valid low level level interlock protection substantially extend operational service life.
