Description: Automatic water level control makeup water switch fitted within cooling tower collection basins.
1. Maintains constant basin water level to avoid pump cavitation and water shortage shutdown.
2. Prevents overflow from excessive water level to cut water consumption.
3. Indirectly protects downstream equipment such as fill media and circulating pumps.
Traditional Lever Arm Float Valve (Most Widely Used): Composed of float buoy, connecting lever, valve seat, valve plug and sealing gasket. Buoyancy driven lever torque opens and closes the valve; simple installation, standard cooling tower makeup water option. Drawback: risk of incomplete closure and dripping under high water pressure. Alternative versions: Orifice thread direct mount float valves (small towers); remote controlled float valves (high flow / high pressure service); stainless steel right angle float valves.
1. Valve body: Brass, stainless steel or engineering plastic
2. Float buoy: Stainless steel or plastic
3. Seals: EPDM, Nitrile rubber (NBR)
