1. Moisture Adsorption: Molecular sieves adsorb free water within refrigerant to prevent ice blockage at throttling components. It also avoids acid generation caused by refrigerant hydrolysis, which would otherwise corrode compressor motors and bearings.

2. Acid Neutralization: Activated alumina captures organic acids formed by system acidification, slowing degradation of refrigeration oil and protecting the screw compressor main unit.

3. Solid Impurity Filtration: Metal screens fitted at both ends trap welding slag, metal powder, oil sludge and carbon deposits, protecting precision valve cores of electronic expansion valves from scratches and blockage.
